Every fancy yellow diamond here sits in yellow gold. Every white diamond sits in white gold. That is not a decorative choice, and I want to explain what it actually does.

Metal reflects into a stone. Set a yellow diamond in white metal and the cool reflection fights the body color, pulling it toward pale. Set it in yellow gold and the metal feeds warmth back through the pavilion, so the color reads deeper and more saturated.
