A single halo makes a center stone look larger — that much is well known. A double halo does something more specific: it pushes the apparent size up sharply while keeping the actual center stone modest. These centers are 0.47 carats for the pair, roughly a quarter carat each, and they read like considerably more. That is the entire point of the construction, and it is an honest way to buy size.

The halo also protects the color. A fancy yellow surrounded by colorless diamonds looks more saturated than the same stone alone, because the eye judges color by comparison. Set it against white and the yellow deepens. Set it against more yellow and it flattens.

Which is why the two-tone matters here. The metal closest to the yellow diamonds is gold, feeding warmth back into them; the halo diamonds sit in white gold, staying cold and bright so the contrast holds. Both jobs done properly instead of one compromise metal doing neither well.
